CDC
CDC Developmental monitoring observes how your child grows and changes over time and whether your child meets the typical developmental milestones in playing, learning, speaking, behaving, and moving. Parents, grandparents, early childhood providers, and other caregivers can participate in developmental monitoring. The tools used for developmental and behavioral screening are formal questionnaires or checklists based on research that ask questions about a child’s development, including language, movement, thinking, behavior, and emotions.
Ounce
Ounce: The Developmental Profile enables caregivers and other staff to evaluate each child’s development and progress over time, comparing their observations. Benefits Presents a highly reliable, criterion-referenced measure based on specific developmental standards. Helps meet Early Head Start and federal assessment requirements. Allows you to gather information from multiple perspectives, giving a more well-rounded picture of the child’s development. Takes a natural, whole-child approach to observation. Helps educate parents so that they can become more involved in decisions about their children. Supports early intervention for at-risk kids. Features Designed for use with infants and toddlers, The Ounce Scale is organized around six major developmental areas: Personal connections: How children show they trust you. Feelings about self: How children express who they are. Relationships with other children: What children do around other children. Understanding and communicating: How children understand and communicate. Exploration and problem solving: How children explore and figure things out. Movement and coordination: How children move their bodies and use their hands to do things.
Work sampling: The Work Sampling System® is a curriculum-embedded, authentic performance assessment for teachers to use to assess young students' development in multiple domains. The program features updated content, based on Common Core and state early learning guidelines and current research in the field of early childhood education. The online system has been redesigned with streamlined functionality and embedded video support to make assessment and reporting easier and more effective.

CSR
A Child Service Report describes your child’s growth and development in the context of the services provided by our facility. You are to receive this report about your child every six months. The areas of observation in each area align with Pennsylvania’s Learning Standards for Early Childhood and the Pennsylvania Academic Standards. The report focuses on the strengths of your child, developmental milestones, and what is next in the context of physical, social emotional, communication, language, and literacy, and knowledge/skills.
